At Arcadia, every table we craft tells a story — but some stories are written on the road. As we gear up for UK Games Expo 2025, we thought we’d take you behind the scenes of what it really takes to get our tables (and ourselves) convention-ready.
From sawdust to spotlight, here’s how we’re preparing to showcase our current range and introduce some newcomers at the UK’s biggest tabletop gaming event.
From Workshop to Show Floor
Our workshop has been a hive of activity. Each table we take to the show is carefully checked — and not just for looks. Every aspect of our display tables has to survive being transported, assembled, extensively used and then disassembled over and over again.
This year, we’re showcasing three builds:
We’re bringing along a limited stock of our wood tone sample sets, all of which have also been made in the run up to the expo. Watching anything dry is probably not that exciting, but here’s some mid production for you to see anyway!
Getting ready for conventions is always quite the endeavour, and even more so for UKGE, but we’re improving with each show we do. And this time we’re hoping a new colour coding system will help with the logistics of unloading, making it really easy to see where things need to go at a glance.
We’ve also learned from previous events that there can often be long times without breaks during busy periods, which will probably be the case for the entirety of expo, so we’re prepping some essentials to keep us going.
So that’s a very brief glimpse of what we’ve been prepping, and we haven’t even gone in to all the print marketing, digital marketing, hotels… it goes on. But we’re sure it will all be worth it and can’t wait to see everyone at the show!
But that’s not all, we’re also starting something special…
Introducing ‘Arcadia Bespoke‘
For the first time, we’re opening up our workshop to your ideas! 💡
Arcadia Bespoke is our new service for one-off commissions, special builds, or unique customisations of our existing range. Whether you want a special wood finish, carvings and engravings, maybe some in-built tech, or something that’s never been done before — we can work with you to make it possible.
You’ll be able to talk to us about your vision for a dream table, and we can take the first step to making it a reality. Come and talk to us about what you need at expo.
Who We’re Teaming Up With
We’re proud to be partnering with Minor Disaster Games for their new release, Trouble on the Tempus. You’ll find their game demoed exclusively on Arcadia tables — a perfect fit for a time-bending story set across multiple timelines. You can find them in Hall 2 at Stand 787.
We love how the gaming community is so open for collaborating with independent creators, and this partnership is a great example of what we think it’s all about: craft, community, and play!
